Morning MeetUp: Succession Planning

Morning MeetUp: Succession Planning

Come for breakfast, networking, and a moderated conversation on succession planning.

As decision makers begin to look past initial operations and towards company longevity, succession planning should be a priority. But this process is more than random replacements—leaders need to understand how these decisions can impact the company.

This event will host a moderated conversation on succession planning. The discussion will cover lessons learned including the good, the bad, and the potentially ugly – including how these conversations started and decisions were made specific to company planning and succession. Hear narratives from two business leaders who have been through different steps of the succession planning process – where did they start, what did they do right, what were they prepared for (or not), and what paths do they wish they would have taken. Take away insight that you can put into organization or ponder on for your team’s success.

Speakers:

  • MODERATOR: Keith Olson - Williston Center Director, ND SBDC
  • Heather Jones - President, City Air Mechanical
  • Sara Frith - VP of People and Culture, General Equipment & Supplies
